Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling (573) 785-0202.

Where are you located?
Baby View is located in South Poplar Bluff, Mo. Our address is 1614 South Broadway (Broadway is also known as WW hwy). We are located next to Video Playhouse and across the street from Water Works car wash.

Do I need a full bladder?
A full bladder is not required.

Do I need to let my physician know I am coming to Baby View?
Yes, it is essential that you are under the care of an OB/GYN and that he/she knows that you have requested our services. We are an optional service and do not replace any element of your prenatal care.

Even though this is a “for fun” and keepsake service, the scan will be performed by a registered OB sonographer who’s utmost priority is to make sure everything is okay with your pregnancy. If she sees anything during your scan that we think is of interest to your physician we will call in that information. We do require you have your first diagnostic ultrasound exam with your physician prior to visiting us. This will ensure the wellbeing of your baby. Sorry, no measurements, weights or dates will be done during your Baby View session.

Can I bring my family and friends?
Yes, we encourage our mommy-to be to invite family and friends to attend the ultrasound session. This is a joyous and wonderful experience, one that should be shared with your loved ones. Our seating is specifically arranged so that everyone in your party will have an excellent view of your baby on our flat screen.

When can I find out the sex of my baby?
We can attempt a gender determination at 14 weeks gestation. If you are at least 14 weeks and we are unable to determine the sex we will reschedule a return visit in two weeks for free. Certain factors such as body tissue content, developmental stage and fetal position all affect the ability to determine the sex.

When is the best time for a 3D-4D ultrasound?
3D-4D can be attempted anytime after 24 week gestation. We find we get the best pictures between 26-30 weeks, but in many cases 3D images have been obtained on baby up to full term. We do not charge extra for this service because we can not guarantee that we can obtain the image. We may not be able to obtain a 3D image due to the location of the placenta, the volume of amniotic fluid or the positioning of the baby.

Will my pictures look like the ones on your website?
Yes the pictures that are featured on our website were taken at our facility. However, picture quality depends on several factors; the amount of maternal tissue, the amniotic fluid levels, and the position of the baby are all important. Sometimes if the baby is persistently looking face down, i.e. towards your spine it may be difficult to see the baby’s face. We make no promises that the images will be similar to those you might have seen elsewhere or even from our clinic, or that we can always meet everyone’s expectations. We do promise to make every effort to obtain the best possible images.

When will I get my pictures and video?
All pictures, videos, CD’s, DVD’s, etc. will be ready to take with you when you leave your appointment.

Why would I want my images saved on a CD/ROM?
We give you a copyright release form that you may take to any photo retailer so you may print the images off of the CD/ROM. Images stored on a CD are done so in a digital format that will not deteriorate over time unlike printed images. Clients want the images stored on a CD so that they have access to the original digital images that were created during the ultrasound session. They can reprint favorite images as many times as needed, they can send copies of the images to family and friends over the Internet and they can backup the images to help ensure access to their precious keepsake over the years.
